If you are caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, you can book an appointment for a free 30 minute session with Together for Short Lives’ Energy Adviser. If you are finding it hard to pay your energy bills and would like to talk to somebody, they are here for you. Sessions are available every week day, 10am – 2pm.

Warm Wales is Wales’ oldest CIC working to tackle fuel poverty by offering free advice and support to ensure people across Wales and South-West England have warm and safe homes. They have a team of trained energy advisors and community workers to help provide advice, referrals, and access to grants such as gas connection grants to ensure no one is living in unsafe and cold homes. Their Healthy Homes Healthy People project and HHHP+ project are available to everyone to help support you reduce your energy bills, apply for schemes and support those affected mentally by fuel poverty.

Nest is the Welsh Government’s fuel poverty scheme which aims to help people in Wales reduce the impact of their fuel bills. Nest offers a range of advice, as well as a full home energy assessment and home improvements for the most energy inefficient homes – at no cost to you. Nest offers lots of free, impartial help and advice about benefit entitlement, making sure you’re on the right fuel tariff, managing money, and schemes across Wales that offer home improvements.

  • a child under 5 living with you

Cost of Living Support for Families - Working Families suggest that If you are struggling to pay your energy bills and you use a prepayment metre or you don’t use gas or electricity for your heating (e.g. you use an alternative such as oil, LPG, coal, wood), you may be entitled to a fuel voucher through your local council.
