Showing your support on Rare Disease Day

Rare Disease Day (February 28th), and the week leading up to it, is an opportunity for you to show your support for our colleagues and employees and to encourage change for the 300 million people worldwide living with rare disease.

There are so many ways in which you could take part. Here are just a few suggestions:

  • Download our website banners and show you support for RARExham by adding to your website. See Downloads below.

  • If you are supporting us please send us your logo and explain what you are doing and we will add your details to our supporter page. Please email enquiries@samebutdifferentcic.org.uk.

  • Create and share social media posts using the hashtag #RARExham in the lead up to Rare Disease Day on 28th February 2023. You can download some resources below to help you.

  • Sign the Rare Disease Charter and ensure your HR policies take into consideration the needs of those affected. To find out more please contact us.

  • Show your support for those affected by sharing Rarity Life magazine with your colleagues. It is a brand new online publication that offers those affected by rare disease, disability and cancer the opportunity to create content that is truly inclusive, to unify our collective experience and to celebrate and share our differences.

  • Consider fundraising on behalf of the Rare Navigator service run by Same but Different which provides support to people throughout North Wales following a rare disease diagnosis.

Let’s unite and make a world of difference to our rare disease community through this unique event. We support #RARExham
