Volunteer ambassadors

We are looking for volunteer ambassadors to join our team. We need people who have experience of disability or rare conditions and who can be the face of our organisation in their community.

Our network of volunteers are based throughout the UK.  They organise fundraising activities, representing Same but Different in their local area and help to engage people with the work we are doing as a community organisation.

Ways to get involved

As one of our Same but Different ambassadors you can help in a variety of ways, some of these could include:

  • Inspiring family, friends, colleagues and your networks to support our community organisation

  • Attending cheque presentations in your local area and thank people for their support

  • Visit local community organisations and businesses to give talks about what we do

  • Help organise exhibitions in your area for our projects, such as, the Rare Project

  • Setting up a fundraising group with friends, family or colleagues

  • Make introductions to your contacts who may support the organisation

  • Volunteering at events and assisting when there are events in your area

  • Placing, emptying and banking coin collection tins in cafes, restaurants, shops and your community

This role would suit you if you:

  • Are looking for a long term volunteering role

  • Have a personal connection with disability or rare conditions

  • You are willing to get involved with various volunteering opportunities

  • Enjoy fundraising and would like to connect with like minded people
